Clients and Specialist Services

  1. A Specialist is someone registered in the Babylon Platform who can be hired by a client to perform a job/task. A Specialist serves as an Independent Contractor of babylon2k.org / i-LEAD.
  2. Specialists charge different professional rates depending on their educational attainment, skills, experience, etcetera. For example, some Specialists are Certified Public Accountants (CPAs). Specialists are also spread across different locations.

  1. Interested Specialists create their own accounts via the sign up page and are advised to use a gmail email address.
  2. Babylon Administrators shall review all submitted credentials (e.g. Diploma, Transcript of Records, etc.) and shall contact the applicant to conduct a video interview.
  3. Once the validation has been completed and the application is successful, the applicant shall receive a confirmation email. The profile status of the Specialist in Babylon shall be changed to 'Active'.

  1. Babylon plans to have Specialists across the Philippines and even abroad. This shall enable clients to network with Specialists whereever location they may require.
  2. It is recommended that Specialists register their provincial address as their primary address and identify their Metro Manila or NCR address as their secondary address. When a client posts a job, he or she will select from the roster of Specialists who are available in the location required.

  1. Specialists sign a Non-disclosure agreement signifying that they will keep all information obtained during their engagements with the appropriate confidentiality required.
  2. Aside from the NDA, Specialists also sign an Offer to Contract Services as Independent Contractor and Online Web Platform User Agreement which indicate their responsibilities as a member of the Babylon ecosystem.

  1. Babylon does not have an employer-employee relationship with Specialists. The platform is designed to accommodate Specialists, whether they would prefer full-time or part-time engagement, for output-based or project engagements.

  1. In compliance to RA 10173 (Data Privacy Act), all Personal Information and Sensitive Personal Information handled and processed through the Babylon platform shall be treated with confidentiality, integrity and accountability.

  1. NO. A Specialist does not have access to personal information of other Specialists or to project information regarding ongoing jobs/completed by other Specialists. Even if two Specialists cater to one client, each will only have access to information related to their job/task.

  1. All correspondence between the Specialist and a client shall be coursed through Babylon. Interviews, requests for documents, and site visits shall be agreed upon by both parties. The platform also includes a repository for files to be exchanged between the client and the specialist. The platform also captures comments and inputs for monitoring the progress of the job.

  1. Each job completed by a Specialist is reviewed by the Babylon Quality Assurance Group prior to submission to the client. Once the job is accepted by the client, payment is deposited to the Specialist's registered account.
  2. For faster processing, transfer of payments via GCash is highly recommended. The mobile number registered in the Specialist's profile should be associated with the GCash account that shall receive the payments.

  1. Applicable withholding taxes are already deducted from the payment received by Specialists. Each Specialist can print their BIR Form 2307 generated from the Babylon platform.

  1. A specialist is rated by the client after a job is completed. A Specialist's average rating appears on his / her profile and may be viewed by other potential clients who may be looking to hire Specialists.
  2. In the future, Babylon shall provide additional monetary incentives to Specialists who receive satisfactory ratings from clients.

  1. Engagement between a Specialist and an existing client outside the Babylon platform is highly discouraged and goes against the NDA signed by the Specialist. This is also to provide protection to both the client and specialist by ensuring that all correspondences are kept private and confidential.
  2. If a Specialist needs to visit the client or conduct an interview, both parties are required to agree on such an arrangement. An Authorization Letter is filled out through the Babylon platform for such a purpose.

  1. When finalizing the cost of the engagement / service with the client, Babylon allots a minimal budget of out-of-pocket (OPE) expenditures and government fees. Expenses incurred by Specialists shall be reimbursed subject to supporting documents.

  1. Aside from the FAQs, video tutorials on how to navigate the platform may be accessed in the Babylon website.
  2. If you require specific assistance, you may get in touch with Babylon Customer Specialists via the tawk.to app in the site. Messages can also be sent via the Contact Us option found at the bottom of the website.

  1. Specialists undergo an orientation once they are registered as part of onboarding.
  2. i-LEAD's partners also organize information sessions, such as webinars, that focus on the latest developments related to doing business support.

  1. Babylon does not charge Specialists. Total price paid by each client already includes the overhead costs to maintain the platform.

  1. Yes. As stated in the Offer to Contract Services signed by the Specialist, the Specialist's profile shall be deleted on the contract end date.

  1. Yes. one of the goals of Babylon as a platform is to provide additional income opportunities to accountants based outside of the NCR. Babylon is also intended to help local businesses grow by connecting them to accountants and other specialists who can assist them in doing business.
  2. In the future, Babylon shall provide rewards for referrals to the platform.

  1. Sign up in B2K as a client with complete profile (Provide all necessary company details e.g., address, contact info, etc.).
  2. Create RFQ and type in requested services. (Note: SEC Notification shall be sent to the indicated email / address).
  3. B2K Admin shall review the RFQ and provide notification.
  4. To proceed with job, Approve the RFQ under Jobs for Approval and Go to Cart to process payment. The job will now be appearing in the list of jobs in progress (JIP).

    • Process payment via cash, online transfer or “on us” check.

    • Clients can transfer funds via Dragonpay “On Us” Check Option under Payee’s name "DRAGONPAY CORPORATION IFO Institute of Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Dev't, Inc." Check payments for the same Payee’s Name are currently limited to the following banks: BDO, UNIONBANK, CHINABANK, and BPI.

  5. Assigned specialist will process job requested, and submit requirements to the SEC, and
  6. Once completed, Client will receive the submitted compliance via B2k.
